Our Team
Jackson Morton
Senior Investment Manager
Jackson leads due diligence, transaction structuring, negotiation, and execution of investments across the full stack of climate technology financing options, including venture capital and project finance.
Jackson helps Elemental make investments that maximize local and environmental impact. This includes finding and structuring opportunities where Elemental can catalyze growth and pull forward new technologies. He specializes in first-of-a-kind and early commercial projects across industry, food, and agriculture. He also advances new approaches to climate finance that bridge venture and project finance. He works hands-on with portfolio companies, providing financial strategy and fundraising support to help teams convert early traction into durable, investable business models. His work combines rigorous investment discipline with a practical focus on execution, partnering closely with founders and communities.
Prior to Elemental
Prior to joining Elemental, Jackson spent several years at Jump, where he launched the company’s first electric bike share system in San Francisco, led charging infrastructure deployment, and helped expand bike share to dozens of cities across the U.S. and Europe. Before that, he was an engineer at a biomedical startup building a guidance system for cataract surgery.
Jackson earned his MBA from Stanford University and holds a BS in biomedical engineering from Duke University.
Outside the Office
Jackson lives in New York City, where he enjoys cooking with his partner and using Citi Bike to commute and explore new parts of the city.
