Our Team
Aparna Reddy
General Counsel
Aparna leads Elemental Impact’s legal strategy and governance, advising on risk, transactions, and organizational matters. She supports investment structuring and portfolio activity and oversees the human resources function, helping foster a strong, engaged, and values-driven team.
As General Counsel, Aparna serves as a strategic partner across Elemental Impact, advising leadership and teams on complex legal, regulatory, and governance matters that enable the organization’s impact-first investment model. She works closely with the portfolio and investments team to structure and close investments, supporting innovative deal structures designed to bridge funding gaps for early-stage and first-of-a-kind climate ventures.
Aparna brings a pragmatic, business-oriented approach to the law, balancing risk management with creativity and flexibility to support Elemental’s mission and growth. She collaborates with external counsel, investors, entrepreneurs, and partners to navigate compliance, contracts, and organizational issues with clarity and confidence.
In addition to her legal responsibilities, Aparna leads the human resources function, supporting policies, practices, and culture that enable a joyful, inclusive, and high-performing team. Her work helps ensure Elemental operates with integrity, resilience, and trust—internally and across the ecosystem.
Prior to Elemental
Prior to joining Elemental Impact, Aparna built her legal foundation through in-house and firm roles that honed her expertise in corporate, employment, compliance, and cross-functional business advising. At OpenTable, Aparna supported multiple acquisitions and OpenTable’s IPO. At eBay, she supported the North American Marketplaces Business as a member of the Commercial Legal Team. As General Counsel of Synack, she provided legal strategy for novel cyber security services and implemented processes and procedures to support the growth of the company from a team of 34 to over 100.
Aparna earned her B.S with an emphasis in plant genetics from University of California, Davis. While working at the plant genetics lab, she learned of opportunities to work with science and the law, which triggered her interest in law school. Thereafter, Aparna completed law school and business school to obtain her J.D. and M.B.A. from Santa Clara University.
Outside of the office
Outside of the office, you can find Aparna in the mountains either skiing, biking or hiking. She is also passionate about community and gives back to hers by volunteering her time to serve on the Truckee Donner Land Trust Board, an organization helping to preserve land in the Truckee region for conservation and recreation purposes.
