At Elemental, Daniella guides our portfolio companies through the complex landscape of policy, regulation, and community engagement to accelerate climate technology deployment that is impactful and scalable. She began as a coach consultant and now oversees Elemental’s network of coaches, informs due diligence for prospective investments, advises on portfolio experience, and designs tools that help companies navigate local contexts with intention and accountability.

Her responsibility is to ensure innovators have the policy insight to unlock catalytic capital, the community partnerships that support project execution, and the strategic grounding that enables meaningful local collaboration and investor confidence. During her time at Elemental, she has advised a geothermal company on the development of an apprenticeship curriculum, helped a transportation company champion insurance reform and collaborated on legislative drafting of crucial permit language for an ag tech company.

Having spent her career working at the intersection of climate, community, and public policy across government, startups, and international development, Daniella brings a systems-level perspective and deep experience working with communities historically left out of clean energy transitions.

Prior to Elemental

Before joining Elemental, Daniella spent more than a decade shaping policy and community strategies across government, technology, and international development. Most recently, she served as Director of Policy at Revel, where she led multi-city expansion efforts and oversaw regulatory and community affairs across e-mopeds, EV charging, and rideshare. Previously, as Senior Policy Advisor in the NYC Mayor’s Office, Daniella drafted and negotiated the nation’s most comprehensive environmental justice legislation and managed the citywide Urban Heat Island working group, guiding the creation of the NYC Cool Neighborhoods strategy.

An attorney by trade, her earlier roles include advising the private sector at the U.S. Agency for International Development’s Power Africa initiative, serving as a foreign policy fellow on Capitol Hill, and leading on state and federal reform efforts at the Innocence Project.

Outside of the Office

Outside of work, you’ll find Daniella trying to up her tennis game or taking a class to relive her performing arts high school days. She loves a home improvement project and is determined to continue to try, and mostly fail, at surfing.
