Sabin leads the food & agriculture, nature, and industry portfolio at Elemental Impact, where she sources Elemental’s newest investments and supports portfolio companies in their growth.

As the Director of Investments and Innovation for Elemental’s food & agriculture, nature, and industry portfolios, Sabin focuses on building strong relationships with startup executives and funding partners, helping shape investment themes, recruiting exceptional startups, and designing portfolio company projects. She prides herself on being a thoughtful partner & resource to Elemental portfolio companies.
Prior to Elemental Impact
Sabin is driven by the challenge of helping the most impactful climate solutions reach commercial scale, informed by her experience working to creatively address climate change for over a decade. Most recently, Sabin helped invest $100M+ in Seed-Series B investments into climate tech startups at the Ecosystem Integrity Fund. She has served as a Board Observer for early stage startups focused on decarbonization, wildfire resilience, sustainable oceans, and e-mobility, including Elemental portfolio companies Vibrant Planet and BurnBot. Before that, she built nature and land-use initiatives uniting policymakers, academia, and the private sector at the World Resources Institute. She received her MBA from UC Berkeley Haas with a concentration in sustainable finance and her BA in International Relations from Brown University.
Outside of the office
Outside of work, you can find Sabin playing beach volleyball, cooking sourdough bread, or trying to learn a new language. She’s lived in 7 countries and feels equally at home on the Tokyo subway as she does biking at home in Berkeley.
