As Senior Staff Accountant, Mabelle supports Elemental Impact’s daily financial and accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and transparency that allows the organization to continue its focus on advancing environmental and local impact.

Mabelle plays a vital role in maintaining the integrity and resilience of Elemental Impact’s financial operations, a cornerstone of the organization’s mission to invest in innovative technology. She oversees the day-to-day financial and accounting activities, ensuring expenses are accurately reported, vendor and Portfolio milestone payments are processed on time, and strong internal controls are maintained. Mabelle gathers the data needed for timely, precise financial reporting, providing the insights that allow Elemental to effectively manage its capital and scale its environmental and economic impact in communities.

Known for her mindfulness, result-oriented approach, and clear communication, Mabelle supports the organization with transparent and thoughtful financial practices that help drive meaningful outcomes.

Prior to Elemental

Prior to joining the Elemental team, Mabelle gained broad experience across actuarial reporting, underwriting, and accounting in industries including life, property & casualty, and dental insurance, as well as banking and geotechnical engineering, bringing a diverse perspective to her work in nonprofit finance.

Outside of the office

Outside of work, she values a balanced and colorful life, enjoys trying new dishes, attending live performances, hiking, listening to inspiring and uplifting podcasts, and appreciating meaningful collaboration and making lists to make work and life run a little smoother.
