Hunter joins Elemental with diverse experience in operations, finance, and grant management in both nonprofit and political organizations advocating for progressive issues like climate justice and youth voter mobilization. Previously she worked on the development and finance team of California-based nonprofit NextGen Policy, leading the reporting and compliance lifecycle of grants the organization received. Hunter also worked at NextGen America during the 2018 midterms, where she was a part of the operations, finance, and legal team that managed the largest and best-funded effort to turn out young people to vote in a midterm election. Afterwards, she joined Tom Steyer’s presidential campaign as an HQ Operations Manager, managing the start-up, logistics, and political compliance of the campaign across more than 10 states.

Prior to Elemental

Hunter grew up on the small Pacific island of Guam and believes her indigenous Chamorro upbringing informs her commitment to climate work with community impact. She holds a BA from Fordham University and a MPA from NYU Wagner.

Outside of the office

Outside of work, Hunter enjoys exploring NYC’s incredibly diverse food scene and sharpening her boxing skills at her favorite queer and women owned gym, Haven, in Brooklyn.
