Carmen co-leads the operations, strategy, and communications efforts for Elemental’s career pathways programs with the goal of supporting the development of rising leaders from traditionally excluded groups and empowering climate organizations to foster inclusive cultures.
Prior to Elemental Excelerator
Carmen began her marketing career in the streaming startup world, but as a first-generation Latina, she was driven to Elemental in search of work that would allow her to give back to front-line communities such as the one she grew up in. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing with a minor in Race and Resistance Studies from SFSU.
Outside of the office
Carmen can be found exploring “vibey spots” in her area, picnicking at the beach, mentoring other first generation students, and obsessing over new Boba Guys drinks.
