Sam leads Elemental’s Inflation Reduction Act and Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund initiatives. In her role as Director, GGRF Implementation, she directly manages public finance and government program partnerships. Sam specifically focuses on enabling Elemental co-investment and green finance opportunities, working at the intersection of the portfolio, green banks, community development financial institutions, technical assistance providers and other financial institutions to catalyze transformational projects across the U.S.

Prior to Elemental

Sam has over a decade of experience working at the intersection of emerging technology and the public good. Previously, she led market entry strategies at both JUMP by Uber and Superpedestrian to launch shared micromobility systems across the world. Prior to her work in mobility, Sam was a senior advisor for the Mayor’s Office of the Chief Technology Officer where she managed urban technology programs for the City of New York. She has also served as a Google Policy Fellow with the American Association of People with Disabilities and as a Research Fellow with The GovLab at New York University. She holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan.

Outside of the office

You can find Sam on the soccer field, at the dog park with her Border-Aussie pup, or around Brooklyn in search of delicious food with her husband and baby boy.
